These Terms of Service govern your use of Sumbell.

By creating a Sumbell account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not create an account or use Sumbell.

2. About Sumbell

Sumbell helps individuals organise and understand subscriptions, recurring expenses and upcoming payments.

Sumbell provides tools that allow you to manually enter and manage recurring commitments.

Sumbell may calculate:

monthly recurring totals
yearly recurring totals
upcoming payment estimates
category totals
other statistics based on information you provide

Sumbell is an organisational tool.

Sumbell is not:

a bank
a payment service
a financial adviser
an accountant
an investment adviser
a tax adviser
a debt management service

Information displayed by Sumbell should not be treated as professional financial, tax, accounting or investment advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Sumbell account.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18.

Sumbell is available internationally, subject to applicable laws and service availability.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Sumbell is permitted under the laws that apply to you.

4. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

You are responsible for:

maintaining the confidentiality of your login details
using a secure password
protecting access to your email account
activity performed through your account
keeping your account information reasonably current

You must not:

share an account in a way that violates your plan
allow unauthorised people to use your credentials
impersonate another person
create accounts for fraudulent or abusive purposes

5. Information You Add

Sumbell relies on information that you enter manually.

You are responsible for the accuracy of:

subscription names
recurring expense information
prices
currencies
billing dates
frequencies
categories
notes
statuses
other information you enter

Sumbell calculations depend on the information you provide.

If the information is incorrect or outdated, totals and upcoming payment estimates may also be incorrect.

6. External Subscriptions and Expenses

Sumbell is separate from the companies and services you track.

Adding Netflix, a gym membership, insurance, rent, software or another expense to Sumbell does not create any relationship between Sumbell and that provider.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sumbell does not:

connect to those providers
verify their prices
confirm whether a payment occurred
cancel their services
pause their services
change their billing
contact them for you

Marking an item as paused or cancelled inside Sumbell only changes your Sumbell record.

You remain responsible for cancelling or modifying external services directly with their provider.

7. Recurring Cost Calculations

Sumbell may convert recurring amounts into estimated monthly or yearly equivalents.

These calculations are intended to help you understand recurring commitments.

For example, an annual payment may be divided into a monthly equivalent for comparison purposes.

A monthly equivalent is not the same as an amount that will actually leave your account during that month.

Upcoming payment information is also an estimate based on the dates and frequencies you entered.

Sumbell does not confirm whether an external payment was successfully charged.

8. Multiple Currencies

Sumbell may allow you to track recurring commitments in different currencies.

Where currency conversion is not provided, totals may be displayed separately by currency.

Sumbell should not be treated as providing foreign exchange advice or live exchange rates unless a specific currency conversion feature is expressly provided.

9. Free Plan

Sumbell may offer a free plan.

Features and limits of the free plan may change over time.

Any current limits will be displayed on the Pricing page or inside the application.

We may introduce, remove or modify free features where reasonably necessary.

Where a change materially affects an existing user, we will provide notice where appropriate.

10. Paid Plans

Sumbell may offer paid plans billed monthly or yearly.

The current:

price
billing period
included features
account limits
taxes where applicable

will be shown before you purchase a paid plan.

Paid subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

By purchasing a paid plan, you authorise our payment processor to charge the applicable subscription fee using your selected payment method.

11. Free Trial

Only Pro includes a 7 day free trial for eligible users. Household does not include a free trial.

During the trial, you receive access to Pro features. The trial length, Pro price and selected monthly or yearly billing period will be shown before you start the trial.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your Pro subscription will automatically begin and your payment method may be charged for the selected monthly or yearly billing period.

You may cancel during the trial to avoid the first subscription charge.

Trial eligibility may be limited to new customers or accounts that have not previously used a trial.

We may prevent repeated or abusive use of free trials.

12. Automatic Renewal

Monthly and yearly paid plans renew automatically until cancelled.

Before you purchase or start a trial, we will make the recurring nature of the subscription clear.

Where applicable law requires renewal notices, cooling off notices or other subscription information, we will provide them as required.

You remain responsible for cancelling before a renewal where you no longer want the subscription, subject to any statutory cancellation rights that apply to you.

13. Cancelling a Sumbell Subscription

You may cancel a paid Sumbell subscription at any time.

Unless otherwise stated:

cancellation stops future automatic renewals
your paid access continues until the end of the current paid billing period
your account does not automatically disappear because you cancelled your plan
you may continue using any features available to your account after the paid period ends

14. Refunds

Sumbell offers a voluntary 7 day refund period for the first paid purchase, subject to the conditions described in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

This voluntary policy is additional to your legal rights.

It does not reduce or replace consumer rights that apply under applicable law.

Renewal payments are generally not covered by Sumbell's voluntary refund policy unless stated otherwise.

However, refunds will be provided where required by applicable law.

15. Payment Processing

Payments are processed through an external payment processor.

We do not need to store your complete payment card details.

The payment processor may have its own terms and privacy policy relating to payment processing.

If a payment fails, access to paid features may be limited, suspended or returned to the free plan after reasonable attempts to resolve the payment.

16. Price Changes

We may change paid subscription prices in the future.

Price changes will not be applied retroactively to completed billing periods.

Where required, we will notify affected customers before a new price applies.

You may cancel before the new price takes effect if you do not wish to continue, subject to the information provided with the price change.

17. Reminders and Notifications

Sumbell may provide reminders about:

subscriptions
recurring expenses
upcoming payments
account events

Reminder features are provided for convenience.

We do not guarantee that every reminder will always be delivered or delivered at a particular time.

Email providers, device settings, network conditions, incorrect user information and technical issues can affect delivery.

You remain responsible for managing your actual financial obligations.

18. Acceptable Use

You must not use Sumbell to:

violate applicable law
commit fraud
access another person's account without permission
interfere with the service
introduce malware
attempt to bypass security controls
probe or attack our infrastructure without authorisation
scrape or overload the service through abusive automated activity
upload unlawful or malicious content
impersonate another person
misuse free trials or account limits
use Sumbell in a way that harms other users or our systems

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect Sumbell, users or third parties.

19. Service Availability

We aim to keep Sumbell available and reliable.

However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Sumbell may occasionally be unavailable because of:

maintenance
updates
infrastructure problems
security incidents
third party provider outages
circumstances outside our reasonable control

We may update the service as it develops.

20. Product Changes

Sumbell will continue to evolve.

We may:

add features
remove features
change interfaces
modify limits
improve calculations
change how features work

We will avoid making unreasonable changes that materially remove paid functionality without appropriate consideration for affected users.

Descriptions of planned or future features are not guarantees that those features will be released by a particular date.

21. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of information you enter into Sumbell.

You give NEXOBEN LTD permission to store, process and display that information only as necessary to operate, secure and improve Sumbell and comply with applicable law.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

22. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:

serious or repeated violations of these Terms
fraud
abuse
security threats
unlawful activity
attempts to compromise Sumbell
non payment of applicable fees
legal requirements

Where reasonable, we will provide notice before termination.

We may act immediately where necessary to protect users, systems or third parties.

23. Account Deletion

You may delete your account using the available account controls or by contacting us.

Account deletion is separate from cancelling a paid subscription.

You should cancel active billing before deleting your account where required.

Deleting an account does not automatically create a refund entitlement.

24. Intellectual Property

Sumbell and its original materials are owned by or licensed to NEXOBEN LTD.

This includes, where applicable:

Sumbell branding
logos
visual identity
website design
application design
software
source code
illustrations
animations
text
graphics
product features

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Sumbell intellectual property to you.

We grant you a limited, personal, non exclusive, revocable right to use Sumbell in accordance with these Terms while your account remains permitted to access the service.

25. Third Party Services

Sumbell relies on third party infrastructure and service providers.

These may include providers for:

hosting
authentication
databases
email delivery
payment processing
security infrastructure

We choose providers we consider appropriate for the service.

We are not responsible for independent services outside our reasonable control.

26. No Financial Advice

Sumbell is an organisational and informational tool.

Nothing displayed by Sumbell should be interpreted as:

financial advice
investment advice
tax advice
accounting advice
legal advice
credit advice

You remain responsible for your own financial decisions and obligations.

27. Disclaimer

We aim to provide accurate calculations based on the information entered into Sumbell.

However, we do not guarantee that:

user entered information is accurate
external subscription prices remain unchanged
external payment dates are correct
reminders are always delivered
calculations based on incorrect input will be correct
third party services will remain continuously available

You should verify important financial obligations directly with the relevant provider.

28. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Nothing in these Terms affects consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, NEXOBEN LTD is not responsible for losses caused solely by:

inaccurate information entered by the user
reliance on estimated recurring totals as confirmed bank activity
failure to cancel an external subscription directly with its provider
third party outages outside our reasonable control
misuse of Sumbell
events outside our reasonable control

29. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Sumbell develops or legal requirements change.

The latest version will be published on the Sumbell website.

Where required, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes.

Continuing to use Sumbell after changes become effective may mean the updated Terms apply to your continued use, subject to applicable law.

30. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction subject to applicable consumer law.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
